Class Review of the 2022 Freshmen English Intensive Training Camp
On October 15th and 16th, the English intensive training Camp for the freshman of the International School was officially organized in Qizhi Building. In order to make the students adapt to the international atmosphere as soon as possible, and enhance their confidence and interest in English learning, five outstanding Chinese and foreign teachers hold two and a half days’ English training courses for all freshmen.
In this training camp, the Chinese and foreign teachers carried out heuristic and interactive teaching on topics that students were interested in, such as western medical system, foreign literature, spoken English, Singapore culture, cross-cultural communication and applying for overseas master degrees, which improved students’ learning enthusiasm.
Teachers are humorous, patient and passionate in class. Through vivid language and informative contents, accompanied by illustrated videos and PPT, students can know the different teaching styles of Chinese and foreign teachers, learn more foreign cultural differences and local customs. During the class, students show their motivation and enthusiasm through various interactive activities.
After the English intensive training class, the freshman made favourable comments on the courses and appreciated teachers’ efforts. They benefited a lot through the immersive and intensive training, for instance, strengthening their speaking and listening skills, mastering English learning methods and improving their cooperative consciousness. More importantly, the training aroused their interest in English learning and the courage to communicate in English, further enhancing their confidence and determination to study abroad.
